4. De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings
After averaging about 30 points per game through December, De’Aaron Fox dropped off in January, averaging 22.5 points per game. If you look at just Fox’s January, he isn’t an all-star, but the Kings are in the top third of Western Conference teams, and he is still averaging 27.2 points per game on the season. Sacramento has two all-star level talents on the West’s No. 5 seed, but the Lakers sit in the ninth seed and have two all-stars. What else do the Kings have to do? Fox should be the next man up in the All-Star game if something were to happen to one of the West’s other guards, but it has to be frustrating for the Kings’ organization not to get the recognition they deserve.
