Kelly served as the right-hand man to the former Raiders GM, and Mark Davis trusted Kelly to take over the reins when the owner decided it was time to go in a different direction after their slow start to the season. Nonetheless, Kelly has done his part to earn this chance. The interim GM has served multiple prominent roles throughout the league, including several seasons in Chicago as the Bears Assistant Director of Player Personnel. While it’s almost certain the Raiders will have a long and thorough hiring process, it’s fair to assume that Kelly will get not only an open audition for the rest of the year but also his chance to interview for the job once the season comes to an end.

Adam Peters, San Francisco 49ers, Assistant GM

Adam Peters will likely be one of the more highly coveted GM candidates for vacancies in the offseason. The Assistant GM started as a regional scout for the Denver Broncos in 2009 and has since worked his way up to be John Lynch’s right-hand man. And with the knowledge gained from Lynch mixed with the experience he’s gained in his climb up, Peters could be an ideal fit for Mark Davis and the Raiders as the team looks to get back to their winning ways.

If Cunningham is ready to take the next step and run a team of his own, Las Vegas would be a perfect fit.
