1. Tyreek Hill
Where would the Dolphins be without Tyreek Hill? Up until his ankle injury in Week 14, Hill played every game this season and was the top receiver in the NFL MVP race. He's a long shot at +2500 now but very much alive in the OPOY conversation, where he sits at +135, second on the oddsboard. While Miami was able to pound the visiting Jets without Tyreek in Week 15, his absence for much of their shocking loss to the Titans proved just how essential he is for this offense. The Dolphins struggled to move the ball against Tennessee, a bottom-ten pass defense. Hill's numbers are off the charts, topping the NFL with 1,542 receiving yards and 12 touchdown catches. Even after missing most of the past two games, Tyreek still has a 200+ yard lead over the next-best receiver.
5. The Offensive Line
While it would be easy to put Jaylen Waddle here, he has regressed a little this season, so we'll go with the unsung bunch that helps give him the time to get open. We can't give it to one player on the O-line because they've battled injuries all year, with a rotating door protecting Tua Tagovailoa and company. Don't forget Tua taking bad sacks and getting concussed last year derailed Miami's season. This season, he's been sacked just 25 times. Only Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen have been put on their back less among full-time QBs this year. The Dolphins also sport the fourth-best rushing attack in the NFL, averaging nearly 140 yards per game. The big boys up front have to get some love here.
4. Bradley Chubb
Bradley Chubb has been the difference maker Miami hoped he would be when they picked him up from the Denver Broncos last year. Chubb should be on his way to back-to-back Pro Bowls based on the season he is having in 2023. The disruptive linebacker leads the team with 9.5 sacks and the NFL with six forced fumbles. Chubb's also second on the team with 18 QB hits and in tackles for loss with nine. The 27-year-old has played every game this season and racked up 64 tackles. He's a huge reason Miami ranks 10th against the pass this year.
3. Raheem Mostert
A castoff from the San Francisco 49ers just two years ago, Raheem Mostert is having himself a career year. The undrafted running back out of Purdue leads the NFL with 18 touchdowns on the ground and is third in rushing yards with 966. He's also chipped in with 24 catches for 171 yards in 2023. Playing in every game this year, Mostert should be a Pro Bowl shoo-in and has been one of Miami's most consistent and reliable contributors.
2. Tua Tagovailoa
Staying healthy has been Tua Tagovailoa's most significant asset this year. Tua has yet to miss a game and his numbers have shown it. The former fifth overall pick has already surpassed his previous career high in passing yards, leading the league in that category with 3,921. He's tied for fifth in passing touchdowns with 25, and his career-best 106 rating trails only Brock Purdy. Near the top of the NFL MVP oddsboard for much of the early part of the season, Tua's chances have slimmed as he sits at +2000. That said, it's more of a case of some of the other elite individual seasons being had in the NFL rather than his play slipping. Most importantly, Miami is winning, with the division all but wrapped up and a real shot at the AFC's top seed.
