5. Marquez Valdes-Scantling
The wide receiver is better known by his moniker "MVS," and despite persistent issues with drops, he's had a solid postseason. Marquez Valdes-Scantling has five catches in the playoffs this season for more than 100 yards. That includes receptions of 62 yards and 38 yards. The Chiefs will need to take a few deep shots to keep the San Francisco 49ers' defense from teeing off on Mahomes, and those deep shots will likely go toward Valdes-Scantling.
1. Brandon Aiyuk
Brandon Aiyuk is currently +1000 to score a touchdown during the Super Bowl. The veteran wideout does not get much attention playing behind stars like Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey, but he's a threat in his own right. Aiyuk had more than 1300 yards receiving in the regular season and scored eight touchdowns.
2. Noah Gray
A Kansas City Chiefs tight end will significantly impact the Super Bowl. That is no surprise; everyone knows about Travis Kelce. What if a second tight end for the Chiefs made several huge plays? Noah Gray caught 28 of his 41 targets for 305 yards with two touchdowns during the regular season. Kelce has been excellent during the playoffs, but he doesn't have the stamina to be a force for a full sixty minutes at this point in his career. If the 49ers forgot about Gray, he could make an essential play in the red zone to turn the game. Gray is currently listed at +4000 to score a touchdown.
3. Richie James
Playmaking and consistency from the wide receiver position has been a significant issue for the Kansas City Chiefs all season. Players like Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney were supposed to help solve that issue, but they have only exacerbated the problem and are now afterthoughts. A deep sleeper who will make a couple of plays during the upcoming Super Bowl is wide receiver Richie James. James will be returning kicks and could provide a significant spark in that realm. He has also been relatively reliable in his limited chances as a wide receiver, catching ten of the 14 targets thrown his way. James is +5000 to score a touchdown.
4. Kyle Juszczyk
Another player listed at +5000 to score a touchdown is San Francisco fullback and reliable cog in the machine, Kyle Juszczyk. The veteran blocking machine has only five touchdowns in his career, but Kyle Shanahan is creative, and you can bet he will have a few new wrinkles to throw at this vastly improved Kansas City Chiefs defense. Could Juszczyk be a part of a wrinkle?
