Leg 1: Warriors +3.5

The Golden State Warriors stole Game 1 and broke the hearts of the Houston Rockets. They can back the second-seeded into a corner, and take a 2-0 series lead back to the Bay Area.

Over the past decade, Golden State has earned a reputation for being a top offensive team; however, defense reigns supreme this season. The Warriors rank seventh in the NBA in defensive efficiency, translating to 110.3 points allowed per game.

Still, we’ve seen the Warriors rekindle some of that offensive magic down the stretch. Over their last 12 games, the Dubs are up to 117.7 points per game. Predictably, that proficiency on both ends of the court corresponds with a 7-4-1 record against the spread.

The Rockets’ limited playoff experience is clearly a detrimental factor. While Houston may be able to escape with a win, we don’t like its chances of covering the spread against the battle-tested Warriors. Golden State covers in a tightly contested matchup.

Where to Watch Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers

  • Arena: Rocket Arena
  • Location: Cleveland, OH
  • Where to Watch: NBA TV, FDSOH, and FDSSUN
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Spread: CLE -12 | Total: 212.5
  • Moneyline: CLE -700 | MIA +500

Leg 2: MIA-CLE Over 212.5 (-110)

The Cleveland Cavaliers made short work of the Miami Heat in the series opener. The top-seeded Cavs left with a 121-100 win, covering the spread and going over the total. We’re forecasting a more resilient effort from the Heat in Game 2, which should end up in a high-scoring affair.

Miami’s defense has been a bit of an issue down the stretch. Over their last eight games, opponents are averaging 111.7 points per game, dropping them out of the top 10 in terms of defensive efficiency. However, Miami continues to churn out above-average offensive metrics, which correlates with an impressive over trend. Across that eight-game sample, the Heat are 7-1 to the over.

Offense is still the name of the game for the Cavaliers. Cleveland ended the regular season as the top-scoring team in the league. They set the pace with 121.9 points per game, knocking down 49.1% of their field goal attempts. In tandem, the Cavs’ efficiency was through the roof.

Cleveland will have no problem replicating their offensive success in Game 2. Likewise, the Heat should have no problems scoring baskets. While virtually every other game has stayed under the total, we like the Heat versus Cavs to sail over the modest number.

2025 NBA Playoffs Wednesday’s Parlay Picks

  • Warriors +3.5
  • MIA-CLE Over 212.5

Parlaying these picks could yield bettors a potential return of +270. We’re taking a stand on the Warriors to cover in Houston and the Heat and Cavaliers to eclipse 212.5 points.
