John Canady

Host · Writer

The Cleveland Cavaliers are set for a Monday night showdown with the Miami Heat. Cleveland enters this battle up 3-0 on the series with a chance to be the first team in the East to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinal round with a win. Meanwhile, the Heat look to avoid the sweep and force a Game 5 back in Cleveland with a win of their own. Expect a dogfight between two teams who understand the importance of this pivotal Game 4.

Cavaliers vs Heat Best Bet: Cavaliers -8.5

A team with its back against the wall is the most dangerous, and it’s known that a close-out game is often the hardest to win. However, it comes down to the fact that the Cavaliers are too deep for Erik Spoelstra’s squad to keep pace. Cleveland has mostly dominated this entire series heading into Game 4, and it would be shocking to see the Heat suddenly put together a winning strategy on Monday. This feels like a game where the Cavs will come out aggressive, looking to capitalize on the rest ahead of the second round.

Cavaliers vs Heat Best Total Bet: Over 211.5

The Cavaliers have had absolutely no problem scoring against the Heat’s defense throughout this series, scoring 120+ points in each of the first three games. Meanwhile, although the Heat have struggled to keep pace, they’ve managed to score at least 100 in two out of the three games. Assuming this trend stays the same, a final score of 123-108 seems realistic for this matchup.

Cavaliers Best Player Bet: Donovan Mitchell 4+ Threes Made +122

Donovan Mitchell heads into this game averaging 24.3 points per game through this series. The Louisville product has been the driving force behind the Cavs’ success this season, and in big games, he’s elevated his play to another level. In a potential close-out situation, I have confidence that Mitchell will put together a huge performance to will his team to a win. I like the chances that the Cavaliers’ star knocks down 4+ threes along the way.

Heat Best Player Bet: Bam Adebayo OVER 20.5 Points +120

Bam Adebayo put together an underrated season this year, averaging 18.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. The big man carried over his strong play into the postseason, doing everything he could to give his squad a chance. Adebayo has seen an increased role on offense with the Cavs looking to limit Tyler Herro’s impact on offense. With 20+ points in two of the first three games, it won’t be a surprise to see the former Kentucky standout put together another big outing.
