Pacers vs Cavs Prediction, Props and Best Bets NBA Game 2

John Canady

Host · Writer

The Indiana Pacers are set for a showdown against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of Tuesday’s Eastern Conference Semifinal matchup. Indiana stole home-court advantage with an impressive win in Game 1 on Sunday. With the Cavs looking to even the series, they’ll have to dig deep as they continue to battle injuries to avoid going down 2-0 before hitting the road. That said, expect a dogfight tonight in a pivotal battle.

Pacers vs Cavaliers Best Bet: Pacers +9

The Pacers made a statement in Game 1, proving they can compete with the Cavaliers in this series. With Cleveland preparing to be shorthanded on Tuesday, the Cavs are in a tough predicament just two games in, considering the last thing Kenny Atkinson’s squad wants to do is head to Indiana down two games in this series. With Indiana’s high-paced offense, it’s hard to imagine the Cavaliers will be able to beat them by double-digits, at least not undermanned. All things considered, I like the odds the Pacers can keep this matchup under nine points or less.

Pacers vs Cavaliers Best Total Bet: Over 229.5

In a matchup between the Pacers and Cavaliers, it’s best to anticipate the total between these two teams ending in a high-scoring affair. Indiana runs arguably the fastest-paced offenses in the league, which makes them a nightmare to defend. Conversely, the Cavs have the firepower to turn any game into a shootout. With Game 1 ending with 233 total points scored, I have confidence these two squads can surpass the 229.5-point set total again on Tuesday.

Pacers Best Player Bet: Andrew Nembhard 2+ Threes Made +112

Andrew Nembhard was the driving force behind the Pacers’ win on Sunday night. The Gonzaga product led the team in scoring with 23 points, including five makes from beyond the arc along the way. Coming off a hot shooting night, he continues to prove that he elevates his game when the postseason comes around. I expect Nembhard to stay aggressive in this matchup, which gives me faith he’ll finish with 2+ threes made.

Cavaliers Best Player Bet: Evan Mobley 20+ Points +158

Evan Mobley was one of the more efficient players for the Cavaliers in Game 1, finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 9/13 from field goal range and 40% from three. The big man could play a pivotal role in this series turning around if he can exploit any mismatches that the Pacers present his way. With his confidence in his jumper growing, mixed with the injuries to Cleveland, Mobley could be relied on even more in this matchup.
