Pacers vs Knicks Prediction, Props, and Best Bets NBA Game 2

John Canady

Host · Writer

The Indiana Pacers are set for a Friday Game 2 showdown against the New York Knicks. Indiana pulled off the unthinkable in their late-game comeback to force overtime on Wednesday to eventually stun the Knicks, stealing Game 1 and home court advantage. The Pacers will be riding on momentum heading into this battle, and the Knicks are prepared to do whatever it takes to even the series at 1-1 before heading on the road. With New York looking to avoid a 2-0 deficit and Indiana playing with next-level confidence, expect a dogfight in this matchup.

Pacers vs Knicks Best Bet: Pacers ML +215

The Pacers played arguably one of the worst games of their postseason run to date, yet when it all seemed to be going wrong, they still managed to find a way to win. Meanwhile, the Knicks received 78 total points combined between Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns and still fell short. Indiana’s playing with a level of confidence that they belong, and after crumbling in crunch time last offseason, the Pacers have completely turned things around and are now the team that makes winning plays when it matters most. Indiana’s depth proved to be a problem for New York on Wednesday, and it won’t be a shock if that’s the deciding factor on Friday. All that to say, I like the odds the Pacers take a 2-0 lead.

Pacers vs Knicks Best Total Bet: Over 224.5

Wednesday’s battle ended with a combined 273 total points scored. Of course, overtime contributed to the high-scoring total, but even before the extra period was added, each team had already combined for 250 total points. With this series expected to be a battle of offense, a final score of 123-117 seems realistic for Friday.

Pacers Best Player Bet: Tyrese Haliburton OVER 21.5 Points

Tyrese Haliburton continues to elevate his game throughout this Pacers playoff run, and his performance in Game 1 may have been his best of the postseason. The Iowa State product finished with 31 points and 11 assists while shooting 52.2% from the field. Assuming he remains aggressive in Game 2, there’s a solid chance he finishes with 22+ points.

Knicks Best Player Bet: Jalen Brunson OVER 30.5 Points

On Wednesday, Jalen Brunson was the driving force behind the Knicks’ offensive success. The star guard finished with 43 points, shooting 60% from the field and knocking down 12 free throws. With his ability to get to the free-throw line and his craftiness as a scorer against a Pacers defense that’s proven to struggle defending top guards, Brunson could be in line for another big scoring night.
