2. Micah Parsons Should Be Suspended
Returning from a four-game absence due to a high ankle sprain, All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons made his mark on the field with two sacks and a forced fumble. However, it was his post-game comments about head coach Mike McCarthy that sparked a media firestorm in Dallas. When asked about McCarthy’s future, Parsons didn’t hold back:
"Mike can leave and go wherever he wants. Guys I kind of feel bad for, guys like Zack Martin & guys who might be on their last year or on their way out. Because that's who I wanted to hold the trophy for. You want to win games and do great things with those type of legends who put in more time and work than Mike McCarthy ever did. Those are the kind of guys that I have so much sympathy and hurt for."
While McCarthy deserves criticism for the Cowboys' poor performance, he also deserves respect as a Super Bowl-winning head coach and leader of the team. Parsons must be held accountable for such insulting remarks, regardless of his superstar status.
