16) New Orleans Saints
After a nightmare offseason, the New Orleans Saints may have replaced the Panthers at the bottom of the NFC. NOLA hired Kellen Moore to be their new head coach after firing Dennis Allen after yet another lackluster season. However, Moore arrives at a Saints team that may have the worst quarterback situation in the NFL, especially after losing Derek Carr, who retired this offseason after a career-ending shoulder injury. Looking ahead to next season, it's hard to imagine the Saints finding much success.

1) Philadelphia Eagles
Coming off a Super Bowl win, it's hard to look away from the momentum the Philadelphia Eagles have entering this season. With the offensive core remaining intact, plus multiple solid additions to the defensive unit through the NFL Draft, Howie Roseman has put his team in position to make a run at a championship once again in 2025. With abundant talent on both sides of the ball, Philly comes in at No. 1.

2) Detroit Lions

However, while the end to their run was obviously a disappointment, it doesn't take away from the franchise's historic regular-season run, which posted a 15-2 record. Things will be different without offensive guru Ben Johnson in the Motor City, but there's no doubt that the Lions will be a force to be reckoned with next season.

If all goes well, the Rams could be a dark horse team to monitor in the NFC, especially if their young defense can finally turn the corner.

Heading into 2025, the Niners hope to put the injury bug in the past and prove that they still belong in conversations at the top of the NFC. They have the talent to do so, and we'll see if John Lynch was right to stand pat and avoid making significant moves to the roster this offseason.

Matt LaFleur has all the necessary pieces to the puzzle, and if things come together the way Green Bay envisions, they could be in the conversation in 2025.

Coming off an NFC Championship appearance, general manager Adam Peters remained aggressive in the offseason adding talent to the roster hoping his team can get back to that point next season and potentially over the hump. We'll see if last season was a fluke for the new-look Commanders, but as of now, all signs point to them being in the mix for the foreseeable future.

6) Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings defied all odds with a very successful season in 2024, finishing with a 14-3 record in Year 1 without Kirk Cousins. Heading into 2025, you may think Kevin O'Connell's squad should be higher on this list. Still, after losing their starting quarterback in free agency, it's difficult to put stock in the Vikings until we see what J.J. McCarthy can do under center in what will essentially be his rookie season. If all things go well, Minnesota could skyrocket up this list, but it now lands at No. 6.

The Bucs roster mostly stayed the same, but they lost offensive coordinator Liam Coen in one of the most bizarre offseason situations. Regardless, in a weak NFC South division, Tampa Bay is arguably the team to beat in the division heading into next year.

Heading into 2025, it's hard to put faith in Dallas, a team that seems confident every season. However, it's also hard to overlook the talent on the roster at the same time. We'll see if Brian Schottenheimer can get the train back on the tracks and put the Cowboys back on top in the NFC East.

9) Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears started last season strong, but everything went downhill at once, ending in the firing of head coach Matt Eberflus. Throughout all the struggles, the Bears seemingly found the light at the end of the tunnel, hiring one of the most coveted head coaching candidates in the NFL, Ben Johnson. It's yet to be seen what the offensive-minded coach can do as a team leader, but if anyone can get the Bears out of poverty, all signs point to Johnson being that guy. Chicago's roster is undoubtedly talented enough to be in the mix, but they must translate the talent to production.

Arizona's roster isn't the most talented in the conference, but Jonathan Gannon has found a way to make his team buy in and play hard every week. Will they represent the conference in the Super Bowl in 2025? Unlikely. Will they pull off an upset or two throughout the season? Probably so.

Heading into the season with Michael Penix Jr. set as the starting quarterback could be a huge pro for Raheem Morris and the Atlanta Falcons, considering the quarterback controversy they dealt with last season. The Falcons put together a talented roster that can compete, but minor errors kept them from being crowned the NFC South division champs last offseason. However, as mentioned above, the division is more than winnable, and perhaps ATL will be in the conversation this season if they can fix some of their 2024 inconsistencies.

Seattle's roster will look completely different in 2025, and its success will be heavily tied to the quarterback play of Darnold.
