Celtics vs Cavaliers and Lakers vs Clippers 4-Leg NBA Parlay

Sportsgrid Staff

Host · Writer

Tonight, our four-leg parlay combines value, analytics, and recent trends to give us a strong shot at cashing in. From a surging Boston Celtics squad on the road to a carefully chosen Los Angeles Clippers alternate spread, we blend safety and upside for a carefully crafted ticket.

NBA Trade Deadline: Buy/Sell Every Team

Leg 1: Celtics Moneyline at Cavaliers (+104)

The game of the night goes down in Ohio, and we’re backing the Boston Celtics on the moneyline (+104) tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers because the numbers point squarely in their favor despite Cleveland’s impressive 24-3 home record. First, the Celtics enter with no injuries and are 7-3 in their last ten head-to-head matchups versus the Cavs, which includes a November win in Boston this season. Meanwhile, Cleveland is missing rotational pieces like Dean Wade (knee) and Isaac Okoro (shoulder). Offensively, Jayson Tatum is putting up 26.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game—leading a Boston attack that ranks fifth in points per game (117). The Celtics know how to protect the ball, allowing the fewest turnovers in the NBA at 11.4 per game

Defensively, Boston protects the rim with the best of them (they’re fifth in blocked shots at 5.7 per contest), which should help slow down Cleveland’s high-powered offense (ranked first at 123 points per game). Add in the fact that Boston owns a stellar 19-6 record on the road, and taking the Celtics at +104 looks like a strong play for our parlay.

Leg 2: Payton Pritchard Over 9.5 Points (-120)

We’re taking Payton Pritchard of the Boston Celtics to go over 9.5 points (-120) tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers because his production and matchup both scream value. He’s shooting over 48% from the field and averaging 18.5 PPG in two meetings with Cleveland this season, clearing this prop in both contests—including a 24-point outburst on the road in December. One of the Cavaliers’ defensive soft spots is along the perimeter, where they allow a 36.6% opponent three-point clip, the ninth-worst in the NBA. This aligns perfectly with Pritchard’s 3.2 triples per game, overall 46.6% shooting mark, and 41.7% from deep this season. He’s also hit this prop in two of his last three outings and is enjoying a career-best 13.8 PPG, bolstering his case as the favorite to win NBA Sixth Man of the Year.

Leg 3: Clippers Alternate Spread -4.5 vs Lakers (-200)

We’re choosing the Los Angeles Clippers at an alternate spread of -4.5 (-200) because they have flat-out owned this cross-town matchup, posting a 7-3 record in their last ten meetings with the LA Lakers. Even though the actual line sits at -8.5, we like trimming it down to protect our parlay, especially with the Clippers at 17-8 on their home floor. Meanwhile, the Lakers are shorthanded after the trade of their best rebounder, Anthony Davis, and Max Christie, who was eating up a lot of minutes for LA. The Clippers beat the Lakers by 14 two weeks ago with both Davis and Christie in the starting lineup.

Even with AD, the Lakers rank a woeful 28th in rebounds per game (41.4) compared to the Clippers, who sit comfortably at 14th (44.5). Add in the Clippers’ knack for forcing turnovers—they’re third in steals per game at 9.6—and we see plenty of reasons why an alternate -4.5 is the safer play.

Leg 4: Kawhi Leonard Over 24.5 Points+Assists (-113)

We’re riding with Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers to eclipse 24.5 Points+Rebounds (-113) because all signs point to his continued offensive surge. Since returning in early January, he’s ramped up to 27 or more minutes in four consecutive games, posting at least five boards in five of his last six contests—an indicator he’s physically locked in. He’s also cleared this prop in two of his past three outings. Against the Lakers, Leonard already racked up 19 points in just 24 minutes earlier this season, and he torched them last year at 26 points and eight boards per game in four meetings. With his workload rising, don’t be surprised if Kawhi easily cruises past 24.5 Points+Rebounds again.
