60. Aamil Wagner - Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Notre Dame had a gigantic rebuild on the offensive line, and things got a bit tougher when expected starting left tackle Charles Jagusah was lost for the season with an injury. While that injury forced some shuffling, the right tackle spot was already locked up by redshirt sophomore Aamil Wagner. The 6’6” Wagner has never started a game before, and he’ll be “baptized by fire” with the season-opener at Texas A&M, but he is athletic and has the recruiting pedigree to suggest he could be a future NFL Draft pick. The Fighting Irish benefit from the doubt on the offensive line, but they are asking a lot of players with little to no experience in the spotlight, and how that group adjusts will be crucial to their season.
Notre Dame 2024 Win Total: 10.5
1. Will Campbell - LSU
The best returning offensive lineman in the country is LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell. Campbell anchored the Tigers line that kept Jayden Daniels upright and helped him to a Heisman Trophy as they were one of the finalists for the Joe Moore Award. Campbell played 805 snaps without allowing a single sack. He’s also a team captain, has not allowed a sack in 15 games, and has been a proven star for two full seasons. Pro Football Focus graded him as one of the country's best pass blockers and run blockers in 2023, and he should be in line for an All-American season and a potential top-ten selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
LSU 2024 Win Total: 9.5
2. Kelvin Banks - Texas Longhorns
Much like Will Campbell, Kelvin Banks has started for two seasons at left tackle. The Texas Longhorns anchor has surrendered pressure on only 2.3 percent of his pass-blocking snaps, a remarkable number that places him right up there with the best in the country. Banks is an elite pass protector, but he does need to improve as a run blocker, an area analysts feel he needs to develop consistency in. Banks will be tested often as the Texas Longhorns face Michigan early and a rugged SEC schedule.
Texas 2024 Win Total: 10.5
3. Darius Washington - Florida State Seminoles
Florida State’s Darius Washington earns major bonus points for longevity, durability, and versatility. Washington has started 37 games, starting at both tackle and center. That versatility is very valuable, and he earned All-ACC honors after the 2023 season. Washington is possibly the best offensive lineman in the ACC in 2024 and is tasked with helping lead an offense that has to replace multiple impact players.
Florida State 2024 Win Total: 9.5
4. Donovan Jackson - Ohio State Buckeyes
The best interior offensive lineman for the 2024 season is Donovan Jackson of Ohio State. The guard has started every game of the past two seasons for the Ohio State Buckeyes and has helped pave the way for solid rushing performances from TreVeyon Henderson. He was second-team All-Big Ten in 2022 and first-team in 2023 as the Ohio State Buckeyes again won double-digit games. Josh Fryar and Jackson returning, elevates Ohio State’s 2024 offensive line to one of the best in the country. If they are to get over the Michigan-shaped hump in the Big Ten and win the league, they will be a big reason why.
Ohio State 2024 Win Total: 10.5
5. Tate Ratledge - Georgia Bulldogs
The top five of this list would not be complete without a member of the Georgia Bulldogs offensive line. Tate Ratledge is the best of the bunch. The former five-star recruit has started 28 games at right guard, and he’s back for more in 2024. Ratledge helped UGA lead the SEC in the fewest sacks allowed and the third most rushing yards per game. He was a first-team All-SEC member and a second-team All-American last season and is expected to be one of the top linemen in the country this coming season before heading to the NFL. Ratledge plays with a nasty streak that helps set the tone for UGA’s offense.
Georgia 2024 Win Total: 10.5
6. Jonah Monheim - USC Trojans
The versatile Jonah Monheim has been nearly as valuable as any offensive lineman in the country during the past two seasons. According to Pro Football Focus, Monheim placed behind only Joe Alt in the Wins Above Average metric. He played right tackle and right guard in 2022 and then moved to left tackle in 2023 and was stellar at all three positions. Monheim is an elite pass blocker and a plus-level run blocker, and he has done it in multiple spots. USC’s offense has never been the issue under Lincoln Riley, and it will be fascinating to see how they perform with new quarterback Riley Moss. Having Monheim as the anchor of the offensive line is a good starting point.
USC 2024 Win Total: 7.5
7. Ajani Cornelius - Oregon Ducks
Before the 2023 season, Ajani Cornelius was a coveted transfer portal prospect as he looked to move up from the FCS after starring at Rhode Island. He landed at Oregon and immediately slid into the starting lineup at right tackle and was one of the best in the nation. Cornelius did not allow a sack and surrendered pressure on only 2.1% of pass-blocking snaps during the 2023 season. He’s not a road grader or a run blocker, but he’s adequate and fits Oregon’s scheme perfectly. The Ducks are moving to the Big Ten, and Oregon’s standard is to compete for the conference title and earn a playoff bid. Eyes will be on Cornelius as he leads the offensive line and tries to earn a first-round grade in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Oregon 2024 Win Total: 10.5
8. Tyler Booker - Alabama Crimson Tide
It is not entirely decided where Tyler Booker will line up in 2024 for new Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer. Whether at guard or tackle, Booker is a leader and one of the better linemen in the country. Booker played some as a freshman and then became a full-time starter as a sophomore in 2023. He weighs in at just over 350 pounds (although he could drop weight under DeBoer) and served as a team captain multiple times as a sophomore. With Kadyn Proctor returning to Alabama to man the left tackle position, the expectation is that Booker will line up at left guard. Having him between Proctor and incoming transfer Parker Brailsford at center makes for an outstanding left side of the line for the Crimson Tide.
Alabama 2024 Win Total: 9.5
9. Eli Cox - Kentucky Wildcats
The top center on the list is Kentucky veteran Eli Cox. Cox has started 35 straight games and excelled at center and guard. Now settled in at center, Cox was second-team All-SEC, and if he stays healthy, he will finish his career with more than 55 career appearances for the Wildcats. In 2023, Kentucky’s Ray Davis was terrific on the ground, which can largely be attributed to the work done by the interior of the offensive line. Cox will now be responsible for snapping to new quarterback Brock Vandagriff and trying to orchestrate another postseason appearance for UK.
Kentucky 2024 Win Total: 6.5
10. Aireontae Ersery - Minnesota Golden Gophers
Placing Minnesota’s Aireontae Ersery at No. 10 is entirely based on his dominant ability in the run game. Ersery is not a great pass-blocker. His advanced metrics indicate he has shown flashes but has not consistently been even good as a pass-blocker just yet. According to Pro Football Focus, Ersery was behind only Taliese Fuaga, Joe Alt, and Javon Foster as a run blocker in 2023. That makes him the best-returning run blocker in the country. Ersery plays with a nasty streak and he’ll have plenty of opportunities to showcase his run-blocking ability this season with the Gophers as they will look to pound the ball at every opportunity.
Minnesota 2024 Win Total: 5.5
11. Blake Miller - Clemson Tigers
The Clemson Tigers hope new offensive line coach Matt Luke can help turn their offensive line back into one of the nation’s elite. Tackle Blake Miller is a terrific anchor from which to start. He enters the 2024 season, having played in 1,949 career snaps, and still has two years of eligibility remaining. Miller led all ACC tackles in 2023 with a run-blocking grade of 71.4 on Pro Football Focus. Among returning power conference tackles, Miller is the fourth-most valuable (wins above average metric). He is a dominant run-blocker who will pave the way for the powerful Phil Mafah. Clemson plans on running Cade Klubnik more, and Miller should factor into that. He needs to improve as a pass-blocker to take the next step up and establish himself as a first-round NFL Draft pick.
Clemson 2024 Win Total: 9.5
12. Clay Webb - Jacksonville State Gamecocks
The top Group of Five offensive linemen in the country might be former Georgia Bulldog Clay Webb. After three disappointing seasons in Athens, the former five-star guard transferred to Jacksonville State and has been a monster addition to Rich Rodriguez’s squad. He started 19 games, including 12 in 2023, and helped the Gamecocks average 232.3 rushing yards per game. Webb was the best offensive lineman on the team and earned AP All-American honors after the campaign. It took longer than anticipated, but Webb is fulfilling the potential he came into college with.
Jacksonville State 2024 Win Total: 7.5
13. Wyatt Milum - West Virginia Mountaineers
Do you know who led the Big 12 in the fewest sacks allowed in 2023? You likely guessed Texas, Oklahoma, or Oklahoma State, but the answer was the West Virginia Mountaineers. WVU was third nationally in fewest sacks allowed and had a pair of terrific running backs working behind the solid offensive line. Wyatt Milum stood out at left tackle, and with 33 career starts, he is the experienced anchor of the offense. He earned second-team All-Big 12 honors and will look to replicate that campaign in 2024.
West Virginia 2024 Win Total: 6.5
14. Luke Kandra - Cincinnati Bearcats
Not a lot went right for the Cincinnati Bearcats in their first year in the Big 12, but that cannot be blamed on right guard Luke Kandra. The Louisville transfer started every game and was dominant as a run-blocker. His PFF grade was 82.1, the second-best number for any power conference offensive guard. Cincinnati was third in the Big 12 in rushing yards per game, and Kandra was given the bulk of the credit, earning second-team All-Big 12. He’s back at right guard for the 2024 season and hopes his play can propel the Bearcats to a more competitive campaign.
Cincinnati 2024 Win Total: 5.5
15. Xavier Truss - Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia’s Tate Ratledge is slightly higher on this list, but the Bulldogs get a second massive lineman ranked as guard Xavier Truss checks in at number 15. Truss is 6’7” and more than 320 pounds, and he has started 27 games as a left guard over the past two seasons. Truss is bigger than most NFL guards at that size, and he earned second-team All-SEC honors. Georgia did not have a completely dominant rushing attack last season (20th nationally), but quarterback Carson Beck was kept clean as UGA allowed the fewest sacks in the SEC. Georgia lost two starters to the NFL, but they return an outstanding trio in Ratledge, Xavier Truss, and Dylan Fairchild.
Georgia 2024 Win Total: 10.5
16. Riley Mahlman - Wisconsin Badgers
Wisconsin has a knack for developing towering offensive linemen. The next in their production line is tackle Riley Mahlman. Mahlman is 6’8” and took a significant leap as a redshirt sophomore in 2023 after missing most of the 2022 season with an injury. Mahlman was a top-15 tackle per PFF’s wins above average metric in both run blocking and pass blocking and only allowed pressures on three percent of pass blocking plays. His play earned him All-Big Ten honors, and he is expected to anchor the Badgers 2024 offensive line. Wisconsin’s offense needs to improve in year two under Luke Fickell and offensive coordinator Phil Longo, and the line play will be a significant factor.
Wisconsin 2024 Win Total: 6.5
17. Parker Brailsford - Alabama Crimson Tide
Seeing the Alabama Crimson Tide struggle during 2023 with something as fundamental as snapping the football was challenging to comprehend. Nick Saban’s final season saw Alabama make the College Football Playoff, but poor center play nearly derailed the season on multiple occasions with wild snaps to quarterback Jalen Milroe. New head coach Kalen DeBoer addressed the issue with a known commodity: Parker Brailsford. Brailsford starred during the 2023 season for DeBoer with the Washington Huskies, starting all 15 games. He was a second-team All-PAC 12 member and one of the top freshman players in the country. The sophomore followed DeBoer to Alabama and will immediately solve the Tide’s center issues.
Alabama 2024 Win Total: 9.5
18. Emery Jones - LSU Tigers
Will Campbell is, by most accounts, the top offensive lineman in the country. The other bookend of the LSU line is right tackle Emery Jones. The duo is the best set of tackles in the country and gives LSU hope that the offense can keep humming in 2024. Jones has started for the Tigers since his true freshman season in 2022, and he made a nice leap from 2022 to 2023. His Pro Football Focus grade improved by more than 16 points from his freshman to sophomore season as he significantly upgraded his ability as a pass-blocker. There is no easy way for opposing edge rushers to pressure the quarterback in Baton Rouge, with Campbell and Jones paving the way.
LSU 2024 Win Total: 9.5
19. Trey Zuhn III - Texas A&M Aggies
Texas A&M is beginning a new era as Jimbo Fisher was let go, and Mike Elko is now in charge in College Station. One of the holdover pieces from the Fisher era that Elko was likely thrilled to keep was starting left tackle Trey Zuhn III. Zuhn started for the Aggies the past two seasons and earned the fifth-highest grade from PFF for any tackle in the SEC. He’s an excellent pass blocker who impressed analysts with outstanding performances against the league’s top-edge rushers. Zuhn III does need to improve as a run blocker, but he forms one-half of a strong tackle duo with Dametrious Crownover starting at right tackle.
Texas A&M 2024 Win Total: 8.5
20. Josh Fryar - Ohio State Buckeyes
The Ohio State Buckeyes might have the most talented in the country. Former Ohio State head coach ratcheted the pressure on Ryan Day with a proclamation that the Buckeyes had the most talented roster he’s seen in Columbus. If one issue might cause it to fall apart to some degree, it is the offensive line. This is nitpicking, but there are some concerns about how physical this OSU line can be after being bullied by the Michigan Wolverines in the past couple of seasons. Donovan Jackson is an elite guard, but the Buckeyes need tackle Josh Fryar to play up to his potential in the biggest games of the season. Fryar has played 25 games over the past two seasons, starting all 13 at right tackle and earning First-Team All-Big Ten honors. He must be the physical mauler in the run game to lead the way for Ohio State’s offensive line.
Ohio State 2024 Win Total: 10.5
21. Josh Conerly - Oregon Ducks
The LSU Tigers likely have the best tackle duo in the country, but the Oregon Ducks could reasonably be considered a challenger for that crown. Josh Conerly was terrific at left tackle as a true sophomore, and he has the potential to develop into a first-round pick with another strong season. He was a top-five pass blocker for tackles in the PAC-12 in 2023, as he allowed a quarterback hit on less than 1% of his pass protection snaps. Conerly was a blue-chip prospect and began to play like it last season. Conerly and Ajani Cornelius will anchor Oregon’s offense as they push for a playoff spot.
Oregon 2024 Win Total: 10.5
22. Bryce Benhart - Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have had many excellent linemen roll through their program over the years, but no offensive lineman has started more games for Nebraska than right tackle Bryce Benhart. He started all 12 games there in 2023 and has 41 games started for the Huskers heading into his final season in college. Benhart was a big reason Nebraska finished second in the Big Ten in rushing yards, behind only the Michigan Wolverines. Dylan Raiola is now at quarterback as the future and present of the program, and it will be critical for Benhart to provide top-notch protection and give the five-star freshman a chance to shine.
Nebraska 2024 Win Total: 7.5
23. Josh Priebe - Michigan Wolverines
After being dominant upfront with a terrific offensive line, the Michigan Wolverines are heading into the 2024 season with an entirely new starting five. New head coach Sherrone Moore was the former offensive line coach, and the Wolverines do not plan on letting their dominance slip. The most proven of their new linemen is former Northwestern Wildcats interior lineman Josh Priebe. He earned all-Big Ten Third Team honors in 2023 as he helped Northwestern surprise everyone and make a bowl game. He transferred to Michigan and will slide in as one of the starting guards, paving the way for the power running game deployed in Ann Arbor.
Michigan 2024 Win Total: 9.5
24. Connor Colby - Iowa Hawkeyes
The Iowa Hawkeyes are known for having dominant offensive linemen, but that perception has not been the reality for a while now. Tyler Linderbaum was a great center, but the rest of the offensive line was disappointing in 2022 and 2023. Connor Colby was an exception last season though as he earned Third Team All-Big Ten honors and now has 37 starts. He is the leader of this line, and the Hawkeyes are switching to a new offense under coordinator Tim Lester. Time will tell if Kirk Ferentz allows Iowa to play differently on that side of the ball. Still, Colby will be the best part of the offensive line, and he is probably Iowa's best offensive player in 2024.
Iowa 2024 Win Total: 7.5
25. Jalen Rivers - Miami Hurricanes
The Miami Hurricanes brought in Cam Ward and immediately became a team capable of winning the ACC. To accomplish that, they will need strong play from an offensive line that perhaps lacks a true star but has several good players. Jalen Rivers might be the best of the group and he has played at both guard and tackle. Rivers is a veteran who is expected to start at one of the tackle positions in 2024, joining fellow returning starters Francis Mauigoa and Anez Cooper. At his core, Mario Cristobal wants to run the ball and be dominant up front. He is a former offensive lineman and will rely on Rivers to set the tone for his squad.
Miami 2024 Win Total: 9.5
26. Willie Lampkin - North Carolina Tar Heels
Willie Lampkin is originally from Florida but has played his collegiate football in the Carolinas. He started 38 straight games at Coastal Carolina and then transferred to North Carolina for the 2023 season. There was skepticism about whether or not Lampkin’s 5’11” frame was big enough to perform in the ACC, but he had an excellent season for the Tar Heels. Lampkin is a run-blocking specialist at guard, earning third-team All-ACC honors as North Carolina finished third in the ACC in rushing yards per game. North Carolina had a lot of turnover on the roster heading into the 2024 season. Still, they have running back Omarion Hampton, and with Lampkin back for his final season, they will probably lean heavily on the run.
UNC 2024 Win Total: 7.5
27. Dylan Fairchild - Georgia Bulldogs
The Georgia Bulldogs are returning three offensive linemen from last season’s terrific O-Line. Xavier Truss and Tate Ratledge are top linemen nationally, and Dylan Fairchild joins them as a rock-solid left guard. The Bulldogs have had an elite offensive line each of the past three seasons, and last year, they averaged 5.3 yards per carry while allowing only 13 total sacks. Many national analysts project UGA to have the country's most robust offensive line, and Fairchild is one of the main reasons why.
Georgia 2024 Win Total: 10.5
28. Michael Ford Jr. - Kansas Jayhawks
Lance Leipold has steadily built Kansas into a contender in the Big 12, and there is a real chance that the Jayhawks will make the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff. Much attention gets paid to KU's skill talent, but none of those fireworks are possible without a solid offensive line, and guard Michael Ford Jr. is the best in Lawrence. According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Ford Jr. is the country's most valuable “wins above replacement” returning interior offensive lineman. Last season, he was one of only five major conference guards grading out in the top five in run blocking and pass blocking.
Kansas 2024 Win Total: 8.5
29. Jonah Savaiinaea - Arizona Wildcats
Jonah Savaiinaea was one of the critical pieces for new head coach Brent Brennan to keep in Tucson after Jedd Fisch left for Washington. The talented and versatile Savaiinaea has started 25 straight games and has allowed a total of two sacks in 889 snaps during his career. He has played guard and tackle and is expected to anchor the left side of the line for quarterback Noah Fifita. Brennan keeping the core of the offense (quarterback, wide receiver, and offensive line) at Arizona gives the Wildcats a chance to compete in the Big 12 immediately.
Arizona 2024 Win Total: 7.5
30. Carter Smith - Indiana Hoosiers
Carter Smith entered the transfer portal when Tom Allen was fired from Indiana University. Multiple schools in the SEC hotly pursued him, but when he met with new head coach Curt Cignetti, Smith announced he was staying in Bloomington as a Hoosier. As a redshirt freshman in 2023, the athletic Smith started all 12 games at left tackle. He showed a lot of growth during the season and has the size and agility to turn into a valuable tackle in 2024 and for the years to come. Smith’s national profile will likely grow this season as IU puts up more points under Cignetti.
Indiana 2024 Win Total: 5.5
31. Jake Majors - Texas Longhorns
Experience at the center position is a valuable asset, and Jake Majors is about as experienced as they come in college football. The Texas native has started 41 games for Texas and appeared in 42 total. He has been a critical cog for offensive lines that have blocked for Bijan Robinson and Jonathon Brooks, along with protecting Quinn Ewers. The Longhorns were semifinalists for the prestigious Joe Moore Award, and the consistency provided by Majors in the middle of the line was a big reason why.
Texas 2024 Win Total: 10.5
32. Miles Frazier - LSU Tigers
The LSU starting tackles get all the attention, but those two stars are not the only reason LSU’s offensive line is one of the nation’s best. Miles Frazier has started 37 games at guard, the most of any player in the SEC at his position. Frazier began his collegiate career at Florida International before transferring to LSU before the 2022 season. He was a Freshman All-American in 2021 and has started 26 games at right guard for the Tigers. Frazier is rock solid in the middle of the line and has helped the Tigers have prolific offenses in 2022 and 2023. At 6’6” and nearly 330 pounds, Frazier is a physical force that should be a relatively early draft pick if he has another strong season.
LSU 2024 Win Total: 9.5
33. Francis Mauigoa - Miami Hurricanes
The Miami Hurricanes have high hopes for the 2024 season, thanks mainly to their work on the recruiting trail and in the transfer portal. Cam Ward is a potential star at quarterback and has many weapons to distribute to, but none of that will matter if the offensive line is not a strength. Former offensive lineman and current Miami head coach Mario Cristobal has assembled the talent to ensure that is not the case. Miami’s best lineman is Jalen Rivers, but right tackle Francis Mauigoa is very close. The former five-star recruit started as a freshman and ranked third among ACC tackles in run-blocking. If he can improve as a pass-blocker, Mauigoa will be a potential All-ACC pick at right tackle.
Miami 2024 Win Total: 9.5
34. Jaeden Roberts - Alabama Crimson Tide
The Alabama Crimson Tide have, quite possibly, the nation’s top offensive line. Georgia and LSU would undoubtedly argue that assertion, but the Tide are strong across the line and can match up with anybody, particularly on the interior of the line with Parker Brailsford and Tyler Booker, plus Jaeden Roberts. Last season was his first as a starter, and he earned a 78.3 run-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus, the fourth-best number among power conference guards. He is an outstanding run blocker, something new head coach Kalen DeBoer will take full advantage of, with the power quarterback run likely being deployed often. Roberts is capable of punishing defenders to open gaps.
Alabama 2024 Win Total: 9.5
35. Kadyn Proctor - Alabama Crimson Tide
Kadyn Proctor might be the most well-known offensive lineman in the country. The former five-star recruit started as a true freshman at Alabama as an offensive tackle, an extreme rarity. He then entered the transfer portal and went back home to play for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Proctor never suited up for Kirk Ferentz. He took a trip with his former Alabama teammates, clearly liked what he heard about the new coaching staff, and was coaxed into entering the portal again and returning to Tuscaloosa. There would not be much attention around him if he couldn’t help a team, and that’s not the case with Proctor. He struggled a bit early as a freshman but came on toward the backend of the season. He still projects as an excellent piece of one of the nation’s best lines.
Alabama 2024 Win Total: 9.5
36. Jake Slaughter - Florida Gators
The Florida Gators had a less-than-desirable 2023 season. The defense fell apart down the stretch as injuries mounted and exposed depth concerns, and the offense could not keep up as they lost the season’s final five games against a gauntlet of a schedule (four of the five teams were ranked in the top 12). The offensive line, mainly how effectively they were able to run block, cannot be blamed for the late-season collapse. According to Pro Football Focus, Florida’s offensive line was the fourth-best run-blocking line in the country, and center Jake Slaughter is one of the best-returning centers in the country. Slaughter now has experience and will anchor the middle of Florida’s offensive line as they navigate the country’s most challenging schedule.
Florida 2024 Win Total: 4.5
37. Lance Heard - Tennessee Volunteers
Lance Heard is one of the more difficult offensive lineman to evaluate. He was a backup at LSU and has now transferred to Tennessee after being unable to start for the Tigers. There is context to that story, though. The LSU Tigers have two of the best tackles in the country, and very few people could have unseated them to crack the starting lineup in Baton Rouge. Lance Heard was a five-star prospect, and there are no real concerns about his ability to fulfill that potential. He’s a massive man, checking in at 6’6” and more than 330 pounds. That is NFL offensive tackle size. He played some in 2023 and looked the part as a true freshman. In short, he needs to prove it consistently, but Tennessee is relying on Heard to protect Nico Iamaleava, and if he can play like his prospect profile suggests is possible, the Volunteers will be quite a force on offense.
Tennessee 2024 Win Total: 8.5
38. Armand Membou - Missouri Tigers
The Missouri Tigers are coming off of a historically successful season in 2023. They won the Cotton Bowl and finished ranked in the top ten nationally. Head coach Eliah Drinkwitz and the Tigers do not plan to be merely a blip, content to fade into mediocrity. They have many talented returning players, such as a veteran quarterback and the nation’s best wide receiver. Left tackle Javon Foster is gone but Mizzou returns multiple veteran linemen and added a pair of starters in the portal. The best player on the line is right tackle Armand Membou. Membou has been one of the SEC’s top pass blockers in back-to-back seasons, and he is a favorite to land on an All-SEC team as a senior in 2024.
Missouri 2024 Win Total: 9.5
39. Jeremiah Byers - Florida State Seminoles
Darius Washington is one of the best left tackles in the country, and he anchors Florida State’s line after deciding to return for the 2024 season. He is not the only quality lineman the Seminoles have, as redshirt senior Jeremiah Byers is back for his final season after starting the 2023 season. Byers is not the most consistent pass blocker, but he’s an excellent run blocker with the athleticism to suggest a rise in pass blocking is very possible. He started all 14 games in 2023 and was named the Florida State offensive newcomer of the year by the coaches.
Florida State 2024 Win Total: 9.5
40. Connor Tollison - Missouri Tigers
The merits of the Missouri Tigers were mentioned at number 38 as right tackle Armand Membou was singled out. Just two spots later, all-SEC center Connor Tollison checks in. Tollison is only a junior and could play the 2024 and 2025 seasons if he does not go pro after this coming season. The center started 12 games in 2022 and then all 13 games in 2023. His leadership helped the Tigers earn a semifinal nod for the Joe Moore Award, as the Tigers ran for at least 200 yards on five occasions. Tollison is a Missouri native and has been a key cog in the rise of the Mizzou program.
Missouri 2024 Win Total: 9.5
41. Joe Michalski - Oklahoma State Cowboys
Continuity and experience are very important factors when determining the potential success of an offensive line and the Oklahoma State Cowboys have as much of the two as anyone. The Cowboys had one of the best lines in the country last season and they return everyone for a final season, hoping to win the Big 12. Joe Michalski earned honorable mention Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year and was a team captain for Oklahoma State as voted by his peers. Michalski led all Power Five players in 2023 with 1,035 offensive snaps played last season and he has started 23 games during his career.
Oklahoma State 2024 Win Total: 8.5
42. Cooper Mays - Tennessee Volunteers
Cooper Mays is not the most talented offensive lineman on the Tennessee Volunteers’ roster but he is the leader for the Vols. Mays enters his fourth season as the starting center for Tennessee and he was a representative for the team at SEC Media Days. Mays has played in 40 games during his career and he has started in 32 contests, allowing sacks on only four of 2,075 career offensive snaps. That includes a current streak of 14 straight games without allowing a sack. The Tennessee native is expected to anchor the Volunteer offensive line in 2024 as they push for a playoff spot with Nico Iamaleava at quarterback.
Tennessee 2024 Win Total: 8.5
43. Dalton Cooper - Oklahoma State Cowboys
The other leader of Oklahoma State’s ultra-experienced offensive line is redshirt senior Dalton Cooper. The 6’7” offensive tackle began his collegiate career in 2019 as a redshirt and then with a Freshman All-American season in 2020 at Texas State. Cooper played three seasons with the Bobcats and was First-Team All-Sun Belt in 2021 and 2022. He transferred to Oklahoma State and played in every game with 11 starts at left tackle. He allowed only three sacks on 576 pass plays and earned the fifth-best run blocking grade among all Big 12 tackles (according to Pro Football Focus). Cooper enters the 2024 season with 49 FBS starts and if he stays healthy, he will be the rare player to surpass 60 collegiate starts.
Oklahoma State 2024 Win Total: 8.5
44. Tanner Miller - Michigan State Spartans
Jonathan Smith left Corvallis and took the head coaching position in East Lansing with the Michigan State Spartans. He brought a few key pieces with him. The headliner is quarterback Aidan Chiles but nearly as important will be the leader of the offensive line and his center at Oregon State, Tanner Miller. The sixth-year senior played five seasons at Oregon State and played in 40 career contests for the Beavers. He offers some versatility having started at both right guard and center and he earned first-team All-PAC 12 honors for his performance in 2023. Tanner Miller is originally from California and this upcoming season will be his sixth and final campaign in college football. He’s a quality offensive lineman that will double as a leader and teacher with his experience in Smith’s offensive system.
Michigan State 2024 Win Total: 4.5
45. Giovanni El-Hadi - Michigan Wolverines
Michigan’s offensive line was dominant in 2023. The Wolverines won the Joe Moore Award for the nation’s best offensive line in 2022 and followed it up with another outstanding performance in 2023. The blocking and physicality of the line was a big reason UM won the national title last season and Giovanni El-Hadi appeared in 30 games during the past three seasons. He will now step into a starting role and is expected to be a road-grader at guard as a senior in 2024. El-Hadi is a Michigan native and he checks in at 6’5” and 318 pounds but he moves quite well for his size and should be able to open holes on the interior for Donovan Edwards.
Michigan 2024 Win Total: 8.5
46. Marques Cox - Kentucky Wildcats
Marques Cox will be the starting left tackle for the Kentucky Wildcats for the second straight season. The Illinois native started 34 games at Northern Illinois and allowed only three sacks during his time with the Huskies. Ironically, his NIU career came to an end in 2022 in the fourth game of the season as he was injured in a game at Kentucky. He then transferred to UK after the 2022 season. Cox is 6’5” and nearly 320 pounds and he will be protecting the blindside for new Kentucky quarterback Brock Vandagriff. Mark Stoops believes in his left tackle and the rest of the team does as well. He was voted one of the team captains and was a representative at SEC Media Days.
Kentucky 2024 Win Total: 6.5
47. Amari Kight - UCF Knights
The UCF Knights should have one of the nation’s best rushing attacks and having a representative on this list from that offensive line feels right. The best offensive lineman for Gus Malzahn’s squad is offensive tackle Amari Kight. He began his career at Alabama before transferring to Orlando prior to the 2023 season. During that year, he started the last ten games at right tackle and played in 745 offensive snaps. According to Pro Football Focus, Kight graded best among UCF offensive linemen at pass blocking and second-best at run blocking as UCF rolled to the fourth-best rushing offense with 228.2 rushing yards per game. He’ll be the anchor of a line that should roll in front of RJ Harvey, Peny Boone and KJ Jefferson.
UCF Knights 2024 Win Total: 7.5
48. Davion Carter - Texas Tech Red Raiders
Davion Carter is a native of Mississippi that began his collegiate career at Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2020. After two seasons there, he transferred to the University of Memphis and helped the Tigers rack up impressive offensive numbers during the past two campaigns. Carter played exactly 1,000 snaps and gave up only one sack with Memphis before transferring to Texas Tech for his final collegiate season. Carter could play either guard position but he is expected to be at right guard for the Red Raiders and he earned Preseason All-Big 12 honors. He’ll be part of a veteran offensive line charged with paving the way for star running back Tahj Brooks.
Texas Tech 2024 Win Total: 7.5
49. J.C. Davis - Illinois Fighting Illini
There have been whispers since the spring that Illinois believes they have one of the hidden gems in the Big Ten on their offensive line. A 6’5” and 320-pound senior, J.C. Davis has garnered a lot of hype since transferring from New Mexico for his last year of college. Davis dominated with the Lobos, earning All-Mountain West First Team in 2023 after starting all 12 games at left tackle. He was graded by Pro Football Focus as the highest-graded tackle in the country heading into the season and he was named to preseason All-Big Ten teams. Davis is a mauler and should immediately be one of the better run blockers in the conference. The big question is how he will do against the better pass rushers he’ll see in the Big Ten. Illinois plays Nebraska, Penn State, Michigan and Oregon so he will be tested plenty but the Illini think they have a first-round NFL Draft pick in Champagne.
Illinois 2024 Win Total: 5.5
50. Tyler Cooper - Minnesota Golden Gophers
The Minnesota Golden Gophers are known for having good offensive lines and they will rely on veteran Tyler Cooper to be one of the leaders of the 2024 edition. The sixth year senior from Wisconsin is 6’6” and more than 300 pounds, no surprise from the typically massive Gopher line. Cooper was the starting right guard in 2023 and started 11 games (missing two with injury). He was named to a Preseason All-Big Ten team at media days and should pair with Aireontae Ersery to give Minnesota a strong foundation on the offensive line. They have a potential star at running back to block for but the pass blocking and overall passing attack must improve in 2024.
Minnesota 2024 Win Total: 5.5
51. Anthony Belton - North Carolina State Wolfpack
The North Carolina State Wolfpack are looking at the 2024 season as a real chance to break through and contend for the ACC Championship. They returned KC Concepcion, added some talented skill players around him, and brought in veteran Grayson McCall at quarterback. The anchor of the offensive line for potentially Dave Doeren’s best offense is tackle Anthony Belton. The 6’6” and nearly 335-pound tackle is nicknamed “Escalade” by his teammates, and he started every game at left tackle in the 2023 season. Belton was named to the All-ACC third-team for his performance in 2023 and is expected to contend for a spot on the first or second team this season before heading to the NFL.
NC State 2024 Win Total: 8.5
52. Maurice Smith - Florida State Seminoles
The Florida State Seminoles will likely lean heavily on the running game in 2024. They brought in 255-pound quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, who can be a bulldozer, but they have many questions at wide receiver. That means the offensive line will need to be physical and ready to pave the way. Darius Washington is the headliner, but redshirt senior Maurice Smith is the leader of the line. The center was an honorable mention All-ACC a season ago after starting all 12 games in the 2023 regular season. He was honored with the Bobby Bowden Leadership Award and helped the Seminoles lead the ACC in scoring offense and total touchdowns.
Florida State 2024 Win Total: 9.5
53. Jack Nelson - Wisconsin Badgers
Jack Nelson looks the part of a Wisconsin offensive lineman. The redshirt senior from Stoughton, Wisconsin, is 6’7” and nearly 320 pounds, and he has showcased versatility during his time for the Badgers. Nelson has been Honorable Mention All-Big Ten for two seasons and Academic All-Big Ten for three seasons. After starting 13 games at right guard, Nelson has settled in at left tackle and started 25 straight games at the position. He had a 70.6 offensive grade from Pro Football Focus, and he’s expected to anchor the Wisconsin offensive line and provide protection for new quarterback Tyler Van Dyke.
Wisconsin 2024 Win Total: 6.5
54. Gus Hartwig - Purdue Boilermakers
The Purdue Boilermakers had a rough season under first-year head coach Ryan Walters in 2023. The blame cannot be placed on Gus Hartwig as he returned from injury and started the final nine games of the campaign, earning Honorable Mention All-Big Ten for his play at center. He was a Campbell Trophy Semifinalist and is now a senior and leader for the Boilermakers. The Indiana native is on the Rimington Trophy Watch List (an award for the nation’s top center), and he will be making his 37th career start when the 2024 season kicks off.
Purdue 2024 Win Total: 4.5
55. Luke Newman - Michigan State Spartans
Luke Newman is a bit of a wild card as he transitions from the FCS to the Big Ten. The jump in the quality of defensive linemen faced will be massive, but Newman was a two-time All-American at Holy Cross and a three-time All-Patriot League First Team honoree. The Michigan State Spartans have a new roster under former Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith. There are some real concerns about the offensive skill group surrounding Aidan Chiles. MSU will need a solid offensive line to have any chance to go bowling.
Michigan State 2024 Win Total: 4.5
56. Pat Coogan - Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Notre Dame has a rebuilt offensive line, and they will be leaning on the versatile Pat Coogan to provide both leadership and flexibility on the interior of the line. Coogan can play center, or either guard spot, and offensive line coach Joe Rudolph singled him out for his leadership. “Pat Coogan is a great leader. He’ll be a great leader no matter what. His level of care for this place is incredible. He doesn’t just lead the O-line room. He’s a leader on this team in a lot of ways.” As a junior in 2023, Coogan started 13 games at left guard and helped lead a line that earned a semifinalist nomination for the Joe Moore Award.
Notre Dame 2024 Win Total: 10.5
57. Diego Pounds - Ole Miss Rebels
Lane Kiffin made it a point to strengthen in the trenches this offseason. He believed his skill group and quarterback were good enough to make a run at the SEC crown, and if the lines of scrimmage could get a bit deeper, they could battle Alabama, Georgia, and Texas for the league title. One of the key additions to make that a reality is the addition of left tackle Diego Pounds from North Carolina. Pounds started at left tackle in 2023 for the North Carolina Tar Heels. He stands at 6’6” and weighs 330 pounds, but his quick feet stood out when he blocked for Drake Maye. Pounds is a plug-and-play left tackle that should improve the pass protection for Jaxson Dart.
Ole Miss 2024 Win Total: 9.5
58. Myles Hinton - Michigan Wolverines
Myles Hinton has the potential to be one of the best left tackles in the entire country, but whether or not he reaches that potential is a gigantic “if.” Hinton, the son of former Pro Bowler Chris Hinton, is a massive man. He’s 6’7” and weighs more than 340 pounds. Head coach Sherrone Moore believes Hinton can be a first-round pick in the NFL Draft, but so far, Hinton has only flashed what he is capable of. He has struggled with footwork and leverage, and his consistency has been lacking. After five starts, he eventually lost his starting job in 2023, and health is always a concern for a player as big as Hinton. If he puts it all together, Hinton has the physical tools to be an All-American.
Michigan 2024 Win Total: 8.5
59. Caleb Warren - Ole Miss Rebels
The best-returning piece on the Ole Miss offensive line is center Caleb Warren. Warren has experience as a guard, but his relationship with Jaxson Dart means the center is the landing spot. He will serve as the anchor for an offensive line that Ole Miss insiders believe could be the best they’ve had in Oxford for decades. The Rebels now have all of the ingredients to push for a spot in the expanded College Football Playoff, and anything less than a bid in the postseason will be a disappointment.
Ole Miss 2024 Win Total: 9.5
