Sam Hart, Ohio State -> Colorado
Sam Hart is another Ohio State player who has departed from the program. The six-foot-five tight end hasn’t seen the field in his Buckeyes tenure, but with his size and potential to be a versatile asset on offense and special teams, he could finally have a chance to develop into a viable tight end. He’ll also be able to play in his home state under Deion Sanders.
Corey Dyches, Maryland -> Charlotte
Corey Dyches chose to enter the transfer portal when it first opened in December. The talented tight end had multiple suitors thanks to his potential as a playmaker in the receiving game. Although the six-foot-two tight end likely could have landed with a top program, Dyches chose to land at a school he believed best for him. With the Maryland native headed to Charlotte, we could see a 49ers offense that uses Dyches as a focal point.
Drew Pyne, Arizona State -> Missouri
Before transferring to Arizona State last season, Drew Pyne spent three years at Notre Dame. In his third season with the Fighting Irish, the pocket passer tossed 22 touchdowns and only six interceptions. However, when Sam Hartman transferred to Notre Dame, it led to Pyne finding a new program to suit up for, which led him to the Sun Devils. In one season with Arizona State, the six-foot quarterback only played in two games, finishing with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Pyne heads to Missouri to likely serve as a depth piece under Brady Cook.
Josh Celiscar, UCF -> Texas A&M
Josh Celiscar has spent four seasons at UCF as a more than solid defensive lineman. In 2023, the defensive end finished with 47 total tackles but struggled to land a sack. However, with Celiscar joining Texas A&M, the edge rusher will have one more season to prove he can be a quarterback's worst nightmare.
Gio Paez, Wisconsin -> LSU
Gio Paez has spent three seasons at Wisconsin, where he’s increasingly seen more playing time. With his most recent season being the best of his collegiate career, the defensive end finished the year with 23 total tackles, 19 of which were assisted tackles. Looking ahead, Paez heads to LSU, hoping to take another step on a talented Tigers defense.
